Damn, I'm Pretty
I have been living, fighting, loving, struggling and painting in New Orleans for the last 8 years. During this time I have created a body of work that I feel is representative of my life here and my feelings within this city. I use voodoo dolls in my paintings and no they do not have names. I use them because of the rich history they have thats been associated with the city. Because they are shrouded in mysteries and seem sinister. Yet, they are also cute and kinda broken and yearn to be touched. They can represent good or bad. Kindness and Malice. Construction or destruction. They are representative of us.
